Sydney Stadttour

Ich stand gegen 7h auf und frühstückte gemütlich. Den Bus nahm ich ab dem Conference Center und hatte so schon mal einen super Start. Der Big Bus ist nicht der günstigste, aber wenn man wenig Zeit hat eigentlich fast immer die beste Gelegenheit eine Stadt anzuschauen. Zudem war in der Tour auch Bondi Beach dabei und so hatte ich quasi alles auf einem Streich. Zuerst machte ich die rote Tour bis kurz nach dem Opernhas, dann stieg ich auf die blaue Linie um und fuhr zum Bondi Beach. Das Wetter war nicht grandios, aber man spürt schon vor Ort, dass dieser Strand ein wenig was «Besonderes» hat und versteht, warum er so viele Leute anzieht 😉. Ich verbrachte eine Stunde dort und wollte dann zurück in die Stadt, denn ich hatte mit Janine abgemacht 😊 – sie kannte ich noch von der Zeit in der Tourismusschule Bad Gleichenberg – leider aber hatte der Bus enorme Verspätung und unsere «Treff»-Zeit verkürzte sich leider mit jeder Minute. Schlussendlich aber schafften wir es trotzdem noch auf ein Stündchen und plauderten munter. Sie hat eine tolle und erfolgreiche Karriere und lebt, nachdem sie 2 Jahre in Neuseeland lebte, seit 8 Jahren in Sydney. Wirklich toll, dies gemeinsam mit ihrem Mann Alex der ebenfalls Klassenkamerad von ihr war 😊 – eine ultrasüsse Love-Story, findet ihr nicht? 😊

Dann fing es an zu regnen, ich hatte das so gar nicht erwartet aber, es ist auch ganz angenehm, weil es nicht sooo heiss ist 😊. So fuhr ich weiter im Regen durch die Stadt und endete beim chinesischen Garten. Ich überlegte den ganzen Tag schon, ob ich die Sunset Harbour Tour von Fantasea um 6h machen sollte… bei dem Wetter? Ich wartete bis zum Schluss und ging dann knapp davor runter zum Steg um zu entscheiden.

Der Himmel klarte auf, der Regen hörte auf – so war der Entscheid schnell getroffen. Eine gute Entscheidung – sogar die Sonne kam raus und ich konnte einen sensationellen Blick auf Sydneys Skyline werden mit einem Regenbogen der sich über die ganze Skyline erstreckte 😊 es war ein Monster-Anblick.

Dann ging die Fahrt zum Opernhaus und weiter hinaus, ein Drink war ebenso inklusive. Ich genoss den Abend in vollen Zügen und war überaus glücklich, diesen Entscheid getroffen zu haben.

Dann ging es auch schon ins Bett – nicht zu spät aber wie immer wurde es dann Mitternacht… man quatscht und plaudert mit den Zimmergenossinen … und schon ist eine Stunde rum.

I got up at 7am and ate breakfast. I took the bus from the Conference Center and had a great start. The Big Bus is not the cheapest, but if you have little time, you almost always have the best chance to see a city. In addition, Bondi Beach was in the tour and so I had almost everything in one go. First I made the red tour until shortly after I switched to the blue line and drove to Bondi Beach. The weather was not terrific, but you can tell on the spot that this beach has something special and understand why it attracts so many people. I spent an hour there and then wanted to go back to the city, because I had agreed with Janine 😊 - I knew her from the time in the tourism school Bad Gleichenberg - but unfortunately the bus was very late and our "meeting" time shortened unfortunately with every minute. In the end, however, we still managed for an hour and chatted cheerfully. She has a great and successful career and has lived in Australia for 8 years, after living in New Zealand for 2 years. Really great, this together with her husband Alex who was also classmate of her 😊 - an ultra-sweet love story, don’t you think? 😊

Then it started to rain, I did not expect that, but it is also quite pleasant, because it is not so hot 😊. So I continued in the rain through the city and ended at the Chinese garden. I wondered all day if I should do the Sunset Harbor tour from Fantasea at 6pm ... in that weather? I waited until the end and then went down just shortly before departure to the jetty to decide.

The sky cleared, the rain stopped - so the decision was hit. A good decision - even the sun came out and I could get a sensational view of Sydney's skyline with a rainbow stretching all over the skyline 😊 it was a monster sight.

Then the drive went to the Opera House and on, a drink was also included. I enjoyed the evening to the fullest and was extremely happy to have made that decision.

Then it was already in bed - not too late but as always it was midnight ... you chat and chat with the roommates ... and it's already an hour around.
